(haven't seen the skins clip so just guessing lol)
1. yes they show that they use drugs and get into trouble
2. yes because the media portrays teenagers to be out of control and to some extent they are being here
I think the media over exaggerates so that teenagers can be used as a scapegoat to blame for things
3. they show them as drug using and really into party's and stuff
4. cant say about skins because i haven't seen the clip but not gossip girl because i think its to do with the rich lifestyle they have so i know i wouldn't get influenced because i don't have the same lifestyle.
5. teenagers and young adults because the themes and issues featured relates to this age group

7. yes because it's fun to do.

9. both because i find them entertaining to watch and the fact that most of the main male characters are hot is a bonus
10. because they are entertaining to watch, give insight into the lives of teenagers from certain backgrounds and feature themes and issues that appeal to the target audience

No
I think they show similarities towards a small proportion of the younger generation but i think the bad things that some teenagers do are over exagerrated and over generalised and so no i do not think it shows similarities towards the majority of teenagers

Yes
If yes, why do you think the media is portraying them this way?
Because everyone needs a scape goat, often the media use teenagers as a way to take focus off things that the general population might all take part in, therefore creating a common enemy and so small things are amplified.

Yes, as irresponsible and because it seems to agree with some of the media coverage.

No, they are interesting to watch but because of the negative outcome it doesn't make you want to do similar things

15 - 25 year olds because the dramatic programme includes characters within similar age boundaries.

Because the shows include entertaining scenes that often include things that the people watchig might not try themselves but would enjoy watching the experience.

Yes. They are saying that teenagers life's are all messed up which I believe is not true.

because it is amusing watching people do things which i probably won't do in my life
